Heather K. Lee

Heather Lee is an experienced tax lawyer who handles a wide range of tax issues and transactions for her clients, including federal and state tax controversy, tax advisory, and trust and estate.  She has represented individuals and businesses in tax audit representation, administrative appeals, U.S. Tax Court proceedings, and federal appellate court proceedings. Heather has extensively advised on the U.S. tax aspects of business transactions, including business formation, restructuring and joint ventures, and on international tax planning.
Heather was formerly with Hockman Salking Rettig Toscher & Perez PC, a tax controversy boutique law firm in Beverly Hills, CA where she represented individuals and businesses on a wide range of federal and state tax audits and controversy matters and in trust and estate work.  Prior to that, Heather spent four years with the international law firm Allen & Overy LLP in New York City, advising on the U.S. tax aspects of financing, real estate and joint venture business transactions in the U.S. and abroad.
Heather is admitted to practice in CT, NY and CA.
Heather received B.A. in political science from University of California at Berkeley in 1992, J.D. from University of California at Los Angeles in 1997, and LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 2001.  She was raised in California, and has lived in Westport with her family since 2008.  Heather has been actively involved in the local school P.T.A.
