Guidance to Support Students with Disabilities

In July of 2022, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights and the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services released a guidance to help schools support the needs of students with disabilities and fight against the use of discriminatory discipline. The guidance speaks to the growing concern surrounding these student’s mental health, and aims to prioritize student support and services and avoid exclusionary practices in the classroom.
