Student Misconduct at the University of Connecticut

At the University of Connecticut, each student is responsible for their own behavior. If a student engages in misconduct that negatively impacts the school community, the University may apply The Student Code. Some of these actions may include assault, the use and distribution of illegal substances, and property destruction. An act of misconduct that occurs off-campus may be brought to the conduct system if it falls under University jurisdiction. In addition, The Student Code can be applied to a case of misconduct that is also part of a civil or criminal proceeding.
